Quick Cleaning Instructions

IMPORTANT: 

1. Do not touch the tiny yellow mesh screen in the spray assembly!

2. After cleaning the nebulizer parts with water, ensure that they are thoroughly dried before storage or use. This minimizes the risk of bacterial or fungal growth.

3. Use warm distilled water for cleaning; hot water may damage or warp plastic parts.

Prior to first use:

1. Remove the medication cup from the main unit by sliding it forward. 

2. Soak the medication cup, mouthpiece, and masks in warm distilled water for 5 minutes. 

3. Shake out any remaining drops from the medication cup.

4.  Wipe all components with clean cloth and allow to air dry.

5. Charge fully until solid blue light is displayed. 

After each use (to clean):

1. Remove the mouthpiece and any accessories.

2. Fill the medication cup to the 6ml line with distilled water.

3. Run a full cycle through the nebulizer.

4. Rinse mouthpiece, and masks with warm distilled water.

5. Remove the medication cup and shake out any remaining drops.

6. Wipe all components with clean cloth and allow to air dry.

To disinfect (weekly) :

1. Fill medication cup to the 6ml line with 2% hydrogen peroxide (or vinegar) and allow to soak 

    for 5 minutes to loosen any residue from medication.

2. Run a full cycle through the nebulizer.

3. Soak medication cup, mouthpiece, and masks in 2% hydrogen peroxide for 10 minutes.

4. Rinse all parts with distilled water. 

5. Shake out any remaining drops from the medication cup.

6. Wipe all components with clean cloth and allow to air dry. 

Q: Can I use/inhale distilled water in my nebulizer?

A: No, only for cleaning purposes.  Inhalation of distilled water may cause bronchoconstriction.

Troubleshooting

NOTE:  DO NOT TOUCH THE MESH SCREEN;

ONLY CLEAN BY IMMERSION IN DISTILLED WATER.

Trouble Possible cause / solution
Unit does not work when turned on – Check for solid blue light to indicate full charge.  If it isn’t, plug the unit into the charger until the solid blue light is on.
– Check to see if there is enough liquid in the medication cup (max 6 ml)
– Make sure the nebulizer spout is locked into place (turn clockwise to right).
–  Clear any clogged residue from the mesh screen, make sure the medication cup is installed correctly, and restart the power.
Unit turns off after power comes on – Check that the medication cup is installed correctly and restart the power.
– Make sure the nebulizer spout is locked into place (turn clockwise to right).
– Tilt the unit forward so that the liquid contacts the mesh screen in the front of the cup.
Medication cup leaks – Check that the medication cup is installed correctly and restart the power.
– Make sure the nebulizer spout is locked into place (turn clockwise to right).
Low nebulization rate – Use “+” button to increase flow
– Check to see if there is enough liquid in the medication cup (between 2 and 6 ml)
– Tilt the unit forward so that liquid contacts the mesh screen in the front of the cup.
– Clear any clogged residue from the mesh screen, make sure the medication cup is installed correctly, and restart the power.  If it still cannot be used after cleaning, check to see if the vibrating mesh is broken.
